Special Programs & Tours

Attention Quilt Shop Owners
Because the needs of shop owners change frequently and because
I have a wealth of classes developed for adult education,
I encourage you to contact me for anything special you would
like to offer. I am always adding new projects and techniques
and have prepared classes on topics ranging from folk art
button-hole appliqué to strip-pieced stars to foundation
piecing for picture quilts. I also have available a line of
patterns for pincushions, tea cozies, sailboat quilts, and
a book of farm/autumn themed pictorial designs.

Festival of Quilts, England
I’m going to Scotland for the next
few summers and am so glad to be able to take the opportunity
to attend The
Festival of Quilts in Birmingham, England each August.
If you’re nervous about traveling alone, you can meet
me there!
Just drop me an e-mail
and I’ll circulate a list of “Bella Fans”
who are planning to see the show. We can meet up informally
for fun during the show and admire the fabulous work that
comes from all over the world.
I lived and quilted in England for over a
year and I’m happy to advise you on places to see and
things to do in Britain. Perhaps in a couple of years I’ll
manage to organize a “formal” tour (that means
you pay me!) but until then, let’s get together informally
and enjoy this one special event.

Ruth McDowell Techniques
I have Ruth McDowell's permission to teach piecing workshops
to students who have purchased her books. See Ruth's work
at www.ruthbmcdowell.com.
This quilt is my version of "Campanula," a pattern
in Ruth's book Pieced Flowers.

Pincushion Keepsakes
Everyone uses them, and we all have our favorites! Pincushions
make great presents and are fun to make too. The full-day
workshop includes 2 unique pincushions and a needlebook. I
also make my collection of handmade pincushions available
for study.
The half-day workshop includes one pincushion and the trunk
show of my collection.
